Finished reading: The Checklist Manifesto by Atul Gawande 📚
I honestly didn’t know what I was getting when I placed a library hold on this book - a recommendation from somewhere, but I assumed it was about something like how to write good checklists or manage priorities. This is not that book. This is a wild ride through the ways that some checklists have been used by the author and others throughout history. Not just any checklists, mind you - it’s a tour of how a very important checklist was designed, refined, and implemented. The side-stories are often confronting, impactful, and very entertainingly spun together. I clicked ‘confirm purchase’ on my own copy of this book before I had finished reading it. I suspect I’ll come back to this one again.
Highly recommended to anyone and everyone, but especially anyone who wants to ensure that things actually get done.
